Requirement to report

When a designated foreign national is released from detention, they must report regularly to immigration authorities. If their claim for refugee protection is accepted, they must report to immigration authorities within 30 days of the Immigration and Refugee Board’s decision. After that, they must report at least once a year. They must do this until they get permanent resident status.

A designated foreign national must also report changes, such as:
